Business Development Representative

Compensation: Salary and OTE above market rates dependent upon experience, plus share options

Workplace: For this role we offer flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the Edinburgh office required. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

What you will do

Cloudsofts Tempo team have quickly established themselves as a go-to partner for difficult to solve high value cloud technology problems and are looking to expand their reach across EMEA. As our first Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for generating new business opportunities and helping to shape our sales processes. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual who is passionate about technology and eager to contribute to the success of our company. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:
    • Identify and research potential clients through various channels including online research, social media, industry events, and networking.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, emailing, and other outreach methods.
    • Engage with prospects to understand their business needs and how our solutions can address them.
  • Appointment Setting:
    • Schedule discovery meetings for the sales team with qualified leads.
    • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure smooth transitions from initial contact to closing.

  • Sales Process Development:
    • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine the lead development process.
    • Create and document efficient workflows for lead generation, qualification, and follow-up.
    • Implement CRM best practices to track and manage all interactions and data.

  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with marketing to align on campaign strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
    • Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, progress, and outcomes to the sales manager.
    • Offer insights and suggestions based on data to enhance overall sales strategies.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions.
    • Analyse competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain relationships with potential clients and nurture leads through regular follow-ups.
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through attentive and personalised communication.





What we are looking for

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the technology or cloud services industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
