Announcement: AWS Service Catalog Connector for ServiceNow Announces New Features

The good folks at AWS have just announced new features to the AWS Service Catalog Connector for ServiceNow. The Connector allows you to use your existing AWS Service Catalog configuration, including curated products, portfolios, constraints, and tagging, and expose this to your ServiceNow administrators and users.

With the version 1.5.1 release, ServiceNow administrators can use the ServiceNow Portal View, configure the connector to use multiple AWS accounts, and validate account setup. ServiceNow users now have the ability to perform updates to provisioned products, which will create a closed change request record in ServiceNow’s Change Management application. There is also the ability for developers to call Service Catalog APIs from ServiceNow through the connector, enabling extensions to connector functionality. This simplifies AWS product provisioning for ServiceNow users and provides ServiceNow administrators governance and oversight over AWS products.

The AWS Service Catalog Connector for ServiceNow is available in the ServiceNow Store for Jakarta (J), Kingston (K), and London (L) versions of ServiceNow.
