Social Bite #breakthecycle fundraising update
We challenged ourselves to cover 1000 miles by the end of April, and amazingly we're already on 896 miles! We've taken to the hills, got in the saddle and even dived into the pool to hit our goal to raise £1000 for Edinburgh-based social enterprise Social Bite to break the cycle of homelessness.
The Social Bite Villages provide transitional housing and support to people experiencing homelessness to help them get their lives back on track. You may also have sampled their excellent brownies and toasties in their cafe on Edinburgh's Rose Street, where they employ homeless and formerly homeless people.
The challenge: 1000 miles to raise £1000
We've split our participating colleagues into two competing teams. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn for updates on our progress!

About Social Bite
Unfortunately, the current approach to homelessness in the UK does not work. Using temporary accommodation such as hostels and B&Bs does not provide people with the stability and the support that they need to escape a life characterised by destitution and exclusion.
The Village is an innovative, community-based accommodation project that is designed to help people build a better life. The environment helps to equip them with the skills they need to be able to sustain their own, long-term tenancies, secure stable employment, and re-join society.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new fundraising campaign - BREAK THE CYCLE, with Sir Chris Hoy. The goal behind this is to help build TWO NEW SOCIAL BITE VILLAGES, with target cities of Glasgow and London.
