We are also the company behind the open source Apache Brooklyn project, and Clocker, the Docker cloud maker.We have specially designed services to Migrate, Run and Evolve your applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) through our Rx3 solution. This delivers real business outcomes for our customers: reducing costs, increasing uptimes, improving performance and responsiveness, and continuously exploiting the pace of AWS innovation. How did we get here? Over the last 9 years, we’ve delivered successful outcomes through software development and service delivery, both locally and internationally, for companies as large and diverse as BT, IBM and Giumarra (headquartered in California). Having developed our capabilities, software, patterns, practices and people solving complex cloud problems with large organisations, Cloudsoft are now democratising access to these special skills by making our services available to a broader range of UK organisations. Chief Executive Officer
Ross has 15 years’ experience in Enterprise IT Business Development and previously was VP Sales & Marketing and Business Development Director at Cloudsoft. Prior to that Ross was Senior Account Manager at Proact, a managed cloud services provider, and Business Development Consultant in the Enterprise Systems business unit of CACI Ltd. Ross holds an MA in Politics and Modern History from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Marketing from Strathclyde University.
Co-Founder & CTO
Alex brings twenty years experience designing software solutions in the enterprise, start-up, and academic sectors. Alex was with Enigmatec Corporation where he led the development of what is now the Monterey® Middleware Platform™. He founded PocketWatch Systems, commercialising results from his doctoral research. Alex holds a PhD (Informatics) and an MSc (Cognitive Science) from the University of Edinburgh and an AB (Mathematics) from Princeton University.
Chief Operating Officer
Steve brings over twenty years experience working with innovative and market-leading companies such as Loudcloud, VMware, Cisco, VCE and Microsoft. Steve has held roles including programmer, consulting engineer, professional services delivery and development, technical pre-sales, technical marketing, Chief Technology Officer, industry analyst and consultant to organizations ranging from small startups to large multinationals.
Aled brings 17 years of experience developing distributed applications, mostly in the enterprise sector. Particular areas of interest include devops, automation, cloud, concurrency and distributed systems. Prior to joining Cloudsoft, Aled was Chief Architect at Enigmatec Corporation. He holds a PhD (Computer Science) from the University of St Andrews.
Anél was Financial Controller at Cloudsoft from May 2016 to October 2017. Anél is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) as well has holding a HonsBComm (Management Accounting) from Stellenbosch University and a BCom (Rationium) in Law and Accounting from Nelson Mandela University.
Director of Operations
Robert was formerly a senior software engineer at Cloudsoft. He has experience delivering a range of software solutions and has spoken at technical conferences across the globe. His interests lie in cloud operations management, and playing the trombone. Robert holds a BSc in Computer Science from Strathclyde University.
Andrew was appointed Chairman of Cloudsoft in September 2017. He was previously CFO from March 2015. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Cranfield. He has extensive experience in senior financial, commercial and Board roles in FTSE 100, AIM and SME businesses. His sector experience includes Technology, Energy Financial Services and Construction.
Bill is an experienced entrepreneur and director specialising in internet, telecoms and technology businesses. Bill has been a director of Demon Internet, Prestel, Teledata, Scottish Telecom (Thus), AboveNet Inc. and several other companies. Bill has been the co-founder of two public companies Iomart (LSE:IOM) and IDE Group Holdings plc (LSE: IDE) where he is still a Director.
Scott has spent over 25 years in the technology sector latterly as the Chief Operating Officer at Amor Group which was Scotland’s largest independent IT company and was sold to Lockheed Martin in 2013. Since then Scott has joined Incremental Group as chairman, manages a varied investment portfolio and frequently volunteers as a panel member and chair as part of the Children’s Hearings system in Scotland.

Founder & Chairman
Duncan is a serial entrepreneur and pioneer with thirty years experience in the software industry. Duncan served as CEO at Cloudsoft from its inception until October 2017 when he stepped down and became chairman of the Cloudsoft Advisory Board. Previously, Duncan was CTO at Enigmatec Corporation, the enterprise data center automation company he founded in 2001. Enigmatec was sold to iWave which was subsequently acquired by EMC.
Rich is CEO of Telematica, Inc. (Palo Alto, California), a holding company and consultancy with a practice in product strategy and business development for cloud computing, big data and networked technologies. Rich was a co-Founder and, until 2012, served as CEO of StreetLight Data Inc. His experience in data center management and grid computing stems from his roles as CEO of Replicate Technologies, Inc., (a provider of configuration management technology) and as co-founder and COO of Univa.
